I stumbled upon this really great idea - the Thirty Day Challenge .
In 30 days, the hosts will give you all the skills to earn $10.00 online, with $0.00 budget. It’s their fourth year running the challenge, and many of the past participants rave about it.
It’s not like I need help getting on the intenet and making a buck. Been there done that. Have the t-shirt (vacation, car, rental houses, etc.). But this time they are focusing on the Social Media, Web 2.0 and all that fun stuff. Now that’s something I could use some help with. I know very little about this essential part of the internet, and I think it’s time to dive in with both feet!
It’s the “Pre-Season” and they’re giving us some basic tools to work the program. It starts you with replacing Firefox with “Flock” and then getting into the social networking with Twitter, Twhirl, FriendFeed, Stumbleupon, and the Google Reader. The videos to introduce you to the products are great quality, with high resolution ones available from the challenge site, and all of them available on YouTube as well.
So I’m on Twitter, I’m browsing with Flock, I’ve got my Google, Youtube, and StumbleUpon accounts updated and linked into Flock, and am back to blogging. I’ve got a product in mind already, and if if fits the program, it would be kind of fun to do. It’s not a big money-maker, so I won’t overly mind if some ‘loving reader’ decides to compete with it.
It’s not too late to join the 30 day challenge, if you want to give it a try as well!
UPDATE: The Thirty Day Challenge is off and running again! November 1st!
